1. Scope
This policy applies to the Hapdrop mobile application, website, and related private-beta services. Hapdrop is currently operated by the developer identified in its app-store listing. Contact and privacy requests are available through Hapdrop Support or kubocean@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication
We process your phone number or supported sign-in account, session and device information, age eligibility, account status, and security events.
Profile and content
We process the profile details you choose to provide, including your name, age, gender, relationship intent, languages, interests, photos, prompts, preferences, and posts. Some profile information is visible to other eligible members as shown in the app.
Location
With permission, we process device location to determine distance and a coarse area for discovery. Other members receive distance or coarse-area information, not your precise coordinates.
Interactions and communications
We process likes, passes, matches, comments, message requests, messages, attachments, read and delivery events, call-session metadata, blocks, and reports so these features work reliably.
Trust, safety, and verification
We process verification submissions, moderation results, fraud and abuse signals, reports, appeals, and support records. Verification material is used only for trust and safety and is not displayed publicly, except for a verification status or badge.
Purchases and diagnostics
App stores provide purchase status and transaction references used to grant entitlements. We also process app version, crash, performance, network, notification, and security data needed to operate and protect the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, discovery, posts, matching, messaging, calls, and support.
- Personalize recommendations using preferences, compatibility, activity, distance, and safety eligibility.
- Verify accounts, prevent duplicate or abusive access, and enforce community standards.
- Process subscriptions and restore valid entitlements.
- Send service, security, match, message, and support notifications according to your settings.
- Measure reliability, investigate incidents, and improve the product.
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
4. When information is shared
Profile information and content are shared with other members according to the feature and your settings. We also use service providers for hosting, media storage, communications, authentication, verification, video calls, payments, notifications, mapping, security, and analytics. They may process information only to provide contracted services.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect a person, investigate abuse or fraud, comply with law, or support a corporate transaction. Hapdrop does not sell personal information.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and for limited periods afterward where needed for security, disputes, fraud prevention, financial records, or legal obligations. Message content and media may have shorter operational retention after delivery, deletion, or account closure. Safety enforcement records may be retained where necessary to prevent repeat abuse.
You can delete your account from the app or follow the instructions on the account deletion page. Deletion removes or de-identifies information that is no longer required, subject to lawful and safety-related retention.
6. Your choices
You can edit profile information, change discovery and notification settings, withdraw optional permissions through device settings, block members, submit reports, and delete your account. You may contact support to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
7. Age requirement
Hapdrop is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit minors to create accounts. Report suspected underage use immediately through the in-app reporting tools or support.
8. Security and international processing
We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted service credentials, monitoring, and data minimization. No service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in other countries subject to contractual and legal safeguards.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the beta and applicable requirements evolve. Material updates will be communicated through the app or this page. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through Hapdrop Support or emailed to kubocean@gmail.com.
